Ball Preparations!

Good Evening, I’d like to update this a bit as I attended my Ball last night! I’ll add a link to our pics as well. :)

I’d like to state for the wives, it is SO RUDE to leave in the middle of the Ceremony!! I understand the Ceremony is loooong and to some boring, but PLEASE have some respect for not only the speakers, BUT your husband!!!

Also, dresses that go right below your arse is IMHO unacceptable! I would not only be ashamed if my husband let me go like that, but I’d be ashamed myself!! It is not a night out at the club, it is a formal function, so dress like it!!!

Ooooo and cleavage, yes if you have it flaunt it, BUT in a respectable way, I don’t know, how many wives I saw that their cleavage was almost about to fall out! Remember there are children who attend these functions with their parents, have some class!!

Here’s a link to our pics. :)

Good Arvo!

So Ball season is upon us and tonight is ours!! I’m so excited, this is the one night out of the year where I can get all decked out and truly honor my husband! I’ll give you a few pointers, that might be IMO opinions instead. :)

1. Always have a backup gown, you may have gained or lost weight and you don’t want to find out at the last minute your gown doesn’t fit. :(

2.Pack the night before or even a few days before, because you WILL always forget something. :)

3.Wear a dress your comfortable in, BUT don’t wear something out of “Pretty Woman” when she was working the corner or something from back in the Brothel days. YOUR representing your husband and the Corps more than ever tonight, so make it count in a positive way! :)

4.IF you plan to go somewhere after the Ball, bring some flipflops, your feet will be killing you! Trust me I know from experience. lol

5. Remember this night is for your HUSBAND NOT YOU!! Don’t tell him he’s had enough to drink, I mean unless he is insanely drunk and can’t even walk. Don’t tell him he’s acting like a fool, this is the one night where he can cut loose and act like a fool to a point. You may be the one all dolled up, but it’s “his” the Corps birthday, so it is for him and his fellow brothers to celebrate! So don’t make the night all about you!

6. Don’t forget your etiquette, try to always use rank when speaking to someone other than your husbands friends! Especially Officers!

7. Be nice to the staff, especially if your having your Ball on a base, most of those serving you are spouses as well! I was one of them when I worked at the Officer’s club. It’s also nice if you tip, it’s your birthday ball, but people still need to pay bills and feed their kids.

8. This is IMHO, don’t act stuck up and think your the shiznit. To me it makes you look skanky and again your representing your husband and the Corps!! Your actions reflect on your husband with his superiors, don’t embarrass him.

9. Hair and make-up are a given and again do what you feel comfortable with and book your appt. months in advance if you can!! Stylist get busy around this time. :)

10. Have fun and enjoy, especially if this is your first Ball!!!  I can say though that every Ball you go to will be different. So make your own experience. :)

I’m sure I may have missed some things, but it’s 0500 and I am so not awake yet. lol

Hope this helps a little for the new wives/gfs! Welcome to the best Ball you’ll ever go too. :)

J
