Note: Please make a reservation to visit and be sure to bring proof of any discount you would like to apply when you arrive. We cannot look up your membership to other museums.

  • Memberships - Members visit for free! And, if you visit while not a member, you can apply the cost of your paid admission toward the cost of a membership within two weeks of your visit! Please note that the maximum tickets you can apply cannot exceed the number of people on your new membership. 
  • ACM Reciprocal Members - Half price admission for up to 6 people. Presentation of a valid membership card is required; we cannot look up your membership. The card must list one adult family member by name and the card must have the ACM (Association of Children's Museums) Reciprocal Membership logo.
  • NARM Reciprocal Members - Free admission for up to 4 people. Presentation of a valid membership card is required; we cannot look up your membership. The card must list one adult family member by name and the card must have the NARM (North American Reciprocal Museum Association) Reciprocal Membership logo.
  • Free Friday Nights - Discovery Museum is open with free admission every Friday night over the summer through Labor Day, from 4:30 to 8:00pm, and the first Friday night of each month during the school year. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. We will gratefully accept non-perishable food donations for local food pantries.
  • Especially for Me - We offer free hours throughout the year for families with children who are on the autism spectrum; are blind or low vision; are deaf, hard of hearing, or KODA; or have sensory sensitivities. Most events are when the Museum is closed to the general public. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.  See upcoming dates
  • Library Passes - Half off regular admission price for up to 3 people. Reserve a pass at your local library; view a list of participating libraries.
  • Wonderfund Access Card - The Wonderfund access card is a discount card exclusively for Massachusetts DCF foster kids and their families. Wonderfund access card holders can visit Discovery Museum for free for up to 6 people. 
  • EBT Card to Culture - $1 admission per person for EBT or WIC card holders and up to 5 additional family members. EBT Card to Culture is a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services' Department of Transitional Assistance. See the full list of participating organizations. Presentation of a valid EBT or WIC card is required. 
  • ConnectorCare Card to Culture - $1 admission per person for ConnectorCare health insurance card holders and up to 5 additional family members. ConnectorCare Card to Culture is a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Health Connector. Presentation of a valid ConnectorCare card is required. 
  • Senior Discount - $1 off for each self-identifying senior (age 60+).
  • Educator Discount - Free admission for educator/educational staff only (preschool through college; public, private, religious, or home school). Administrative and other non-educator staff are not included in the discount. Educators must present valid identification (e.g., MTA card, school ID, home school letter, etc.). 
  • Active Duty Military Discount - United States Armed Forces Active duty military personnel or family members with a valid ID receive free admission for up to 4 people. A valid Military ID must be presented at check in. Active duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and active duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members. This discount is offered in an effort to improve the quality of life for active duty military families, and is sponsored by Raytheon.

    Please note that between Armed Services Day and Labor Day, up to 6 active duty military personnel or family members receive free admission as part of the Blue Star Museums program.
  • AAA - $2 off up to 4 people. Presentation of a valid membership card is required.
  • Field Trips – Discounted admission is one benefit of coming on a Field Trip! Field Trips can be arranged for school, scout, community, and other organized groups based on availability. Please call 978-264-4200 ext. 121 or email ctroccolo [at] discoveryacton.org (Carly Troccolo) to make an advance reservation, which is required. Please note that we do not schedule Field Trips on holidays or during school vacation weeks.
