The Military Star Rewards MasterCard offers all of the same benefits as the traditional Military Star Card; however, as a MasterCard it offers the flexibility of use both on and off military bases – unlike Military Star Card. It does so by providing two lines of credit on one card. The Military Star line of credit is managed by AAFES for use on military bases. The MasterCard portion of the card is offered through Chase Bank USA for use on and off base. Military Star Rewards MasterCard has no annual fee, a low interest rate relative to other credit carriers, no foreign transaction fees and a 25-day grace period before being charged a finance charge. It is accepted at all service exchanges, including Marine Corps Exchange, AAFES, Navy Exchange and Coast Guard Exchange, and can also be used for any purchases made online and off base.
