Not only does Geico have a 15% discount for active duty AND retired military, they have a program called "HomeFront" that allows you to share photos and videos while overseas. they have several programs to assist our men and women in the military, including Personal Property Protection and a Storage Protection Plan.

After being with Geico for over 3 years, our insurance rates skyrocketed when we PCS'd! I understood the rate increase due to the new area but when we called to ask why they said it was because of my husbands driving record, even though his last violation was 3 years prior. They lost my business and respect just for not being honest with us.

When we PCS'd to FLW, USAA jacked up our rates over $400....switched to Geico and they saved us HUNDREDS! Hated to cancel our account with USAA after being with them for 10 years, but you want to try and rip me off, you lose my business!

when you use the military discount they automatically switch you to their "military dept" and they are really nice and handle everything really quickly :)

Even with the military discount I was able to beat their quote by about $100 with Progressive, so to each his own.
