Oh the wilderness awaits my triumphal return to its ever welcoming graces. The trees swaying back and forth, the sound of nothing but birds, insects, and the wind soothing my aching ears from the constant racket of car horns, people shouting, and the everyday life in society.
A place where there is no technology to distract me, no people to bother me, just utter silence and solitude, the way life was meant to be. A faithful fishing pole that has never failed me, a small bucket of worms and the unspoken agreement of fighting the fish and releasing it for a future catch. The soft padded foot steps of deer wandering through your camp, to investigate who is trespassing on their ground.
There is great relaxation on watching the dog sit idly by me and watch the small critters scurry up the sides’ of trees only to mock my poor foolish dog as he bounds through the brush and sits at the foot of the tree and listens to them carry on their playful chatter.
The solitude of a nice casual conservation with my wife were politics are a distant annoyance, the stupid remarks from people who have no idea what they are talking about but try to project themselves as professors on the subject. The great relaxation of life, can come with the simplest and minimal materials.
