This is an amazing article I just had to share. It’s about some VA hospitals that literally give their all to each veteran, from beginning to end. Volunteers sit with veterans who, for whatever reason, don’t have family and friends by their side at the end. The volunteers stay with these heroes until they pass away, offering comfort and peace. Reading the article brought tears to my eyes, but most of all, comforted my heart. No one should ever take their last breath alone, and it really warms my heart to know that the VA honors and respects that sentiment. God bless every volunteer for their selfless acts of love and compassion. They are true heroes as well.
