Military Discounts at State and County Fairs

Few events capture Americana and a great day out (whether you go alone,

with friends, as a couple, or family) like State and County Fairs. From pig and horse racing to petting zoos, livestock and crafts exhibitions to thrill rides, food, fireworks and concerts…State and County Fairs have something for everyone.

One more common thread at fairs is military discounts. The amount and type of discount varies greatly from fair to fair, from a few bucks off to free admission and free rides.

Some fairs have yet to release their information for 2014…We will update this post as that information becomes available.

California

Alameda County Fair

June 18 – July 6, 2014

San Diego County Fair

June 7 – July 6, 2014

Military discount tickets for the Fair will be available at all San Diego County military base ticket offices soon. You also can pick up a program of major Fair events, and a special “Military Value Sheet” with Fair vendor coupons. (If you are located outside of San Diego County, check with your local installation for availability.)

Military discount tickets will include:

Unlimited Fair Admission — enjoy all 24 days of the Fair for one low price! Photo ID required for all ages 6 and over.

Single-Day Child Admission — ages 6-12

Single-Day Senior Admission — ages 62 and older

Value Pack — One parking pass, four one-time-use admissions, four drink coupons, 20 ride coupons, one Passport to Savings coupon book voucher.

Military Pack — One parking pass, two one-time-use admissions, two drink coupons. The Military Pack is perfect for patrons who want to customize their Fair package with a Pay-One-Price ride wristband (click link for details).

Ride Coupon Sheet — 25 coupons per sheet. Kiddie rides require 3-4 coupons, major rides require 4-6 coupons and a few “super rides” require 7-10 coupons.

Game Sheets — Save almost 50-percent! One Game Sheet includes $20 worth of game coupons. Valid on games only, not rides. Most games require more than one coupon.

Military Appreciation Day is our way of saying thanks to the brave families who serve our country. Military and Veterans families can take advantage of discounted gate admission with Military ID.

Fair admission $2.00 with Military ID
Free refillable drink cup in the carnival with Military ID. (Show Military ID at the time of ticket purchase or advance ale ticket redemption at the Carnival Ticket Box to receive the drink cup.) Discounted drinks will be available to the cup holder for all four days of the Fair at the Carnival Food Booths.
